Kirsten AndrewsI completed my Honours Bachelor of Education from Nipissing University with a double major in English and Sociology before completing my Bachelor of Education with a focus on Junior and Intermediate grades from the same institution. I then did an ABQ course to become qualified to teach Senior grades. Since then, I have taught high school English, Drama, Art, Home Economics and a in a variety of Special Education positions. I completed my Post Graduate Certificate in Special Education from Queens University before taking on my current position as a Learning Support Teacher working to assist transitioning youth into adulthood. Currently, I am pursuing my PME.

Robin BearseMy educational background consists of a BAH in Psychology from Trent University, and a B.Ed. from Queen’s University. Over the past ten years, I have held positions in Executive Education and Post-Graduate Programs within Smith School of Business at Queen’s University. For the past two years, I have been working as an Academic Advisor within the Queen’s Commerce Program.

Yasmine HashmiI completed my Hons. B.Sc. from the University of Toronto (U of T) with a double major in Political Science and Geographical Sciences and a minor in Science Education. I also hold a B. Ed. from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at U of T with a focus in social justice education, post-graduate certifications in Teaching English, Cognitive Coaching and teaching the International Baccalaureate (IB).
I formerly worked as the Department Head for Learning Support, IB Theory of Knowledge teacher and middle school Science teacher. I’m currently completing my Professional Masters in Education. |
Doris MacKinnonMy undergraduate degree is in English and graduate degrees are in Post-Confederation Canadian History, all obtained from University of Calgary. My research has focused primarily on Indigenous women on the Prairies during the transitional period after the fur trade. I currently work as a Coordinator of New Program Development at Red Deer College (soon to be a university with our new name unveiled March 5, 2019), and am regularly seconded into the roles of Instructor and Learning Designer.

Angie SalmonMy educational background includes two undergraduate degrees, a B. Ed and B. Sc, from the University of Alberta and a post graduate certificate in Special Education from Queens. I have worked extensively in a variety secondary teaching positions as well as in secondary and elementary Special Education. I am currently working as an elementary Vice Principal as I also complete my Professional Masters of Education through Queens University.
